Sponsor: The Contest Sponsor is Pineapple Hospitality Company, 155 108th Ave NE, Suite 500, Bellevue, WA, 98004, United States.  

Eligibility: The Hotel Rose Winter Wonderland Social Media Sweepstakes (“Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.  Employees, officers, and representatives of Pineapple Hospitality Company (“Sponsor”), Portland Winter Ice Rink (“Partner”), and their parent or affiliate companies, suppliers as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation in this Contest constitutes each Entrant’s (“Entrants”) full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Agreement to Rules: By participating, Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by the Official Rules, and Entrants represent and warrant that Entrants meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, Entrants agree to accept the decisions of Sponsor as final and binding as they relate to the content of this Contest.

Contest Period: The Contest begins on December 18, 2024, at 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time ("PST") and ends on December 22 2024,  at 11:59 PM PST (the "Contest Period"). 

How to enter: During the Contest Period, enter the Contest by completing all of the following steps:

  • Entrants must follow @STAYPINEAPPLE and @PORTLANDWINTERICERINK on Instagram.
  • Entrants must comment and tag at least one person (NOTE: Each comment with a unique Instagram handle tagged will be counted as an additional entry).

General Guidelines: All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Entrant submissions must be suitable for general audiences and not be offensive, obscene, illegal, or violate the rights of others. Any statements, remarks, claims, or opinions contained or depicted in submissions must express Entrant’s honest views, opinions, findings, beliefs, and experiences.

Prizes:  

STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one prize per household or address. The prize is non-transferable. All prize-related expenses, including any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner. Unless explicitly stated in the Official Rules, the Winner will be responsible for expenses including, but not limited to, spending money, meals, drinks, transport, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the one night stay at a Staypineapple Hotel. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the Winner is permitted. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

Odds of winning: The odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner Selection and Notification: Sponsor will randomly select and notify potential Contest winner (“Winner”) from all eligible entries on or around December 23, 2024.

Winner must provide proof of age, identification, and eligibility to be considered official Winner. Sponsor shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within three (3) calendar days from the time the award notification was sent or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release if required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by the Winner of the prize offered in this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN THE WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

Public Announcement of Grand Prize Winner: Sponsor will publicly announce the official Winner on or around December 23, 2024, pending Winner’s acceptance of Prize and proof of eligibility. Public announcement of Winner will be completed via tagging Winner’s social media account in the comments section of the official Contest post. 

Rights Granted by You: By entering any content (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), Entrants understand and agree that Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of Sponsor and Sponsor’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, Entrants name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice review, or consent.

Additional Terms & Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such a case, Sponsor may select the Winner from all eligible entries received before and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. In its sole discretion, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Website or violates these Official Rules. Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an Entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

Limitation of Liability: By entering, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Partner, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such Entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her/their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.

Disputes: THIS CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND WASHINGTON STATE, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Contest, Entrants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in the State of Washington having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs. Entrants further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
